Go Further DVD

I really enjoyed the documentary Go Further. It was funny and easy to watch, it had my attention from the beginning. One reason is because I really like woody Allen and his movies, so I was interested in what he had to say from the start. I thought it was very interesting and I learned a lot from it. I think the fact that a celebrity is taking a stand and changing his ways is more powerful, and will make more people listen and think about their own actions. I really like how they biked almost the entire way I thought that was pretty cool, and how the bus didn't use gasoline was very interesting because it shows you that we don't need to use natural gas and that there are other alternatives that I never knew about. One thing that I didn't like about the movie was that at the end I felt that Woody and the others on the Trip really only changed their life styles for a couple of weeks I wish I could see how they live and the choices they make without being on the trip but in their personal lives. Because of this movie I don't ever want to drink milk again! Overall I think that this was a good eye opener movie.

My Name

My name is Stacey and it means resurrection. Its origin is Greek and it was originally a short form of the name Anastasia. My middle name is Rae and it means doe. I don't know why my parents chose this name for me I don't know the family history of my name. I am curious now if my parents were even aware of the meaning of my name before they picked it for me. I do like my name I think it suits me, and I think that the meaning is very interesting I would not have guessed that to be the meaning. After looking up the meaning of my name I want to call my parents and ask them why they chose it for me.

What did I learn from the library session, and what concerns do I still have?

From the library session I learned a lot about the different source that are out there for me to use when actually researching my topic. I learned where to look for certain items and I also learned how to find them. I was unsure of my topic before the library session because I wasn't sure if the topic I choose would have enough information, after going and looking through the databases and books I know that there are a lot more resources than I had thought.

One of concerns I have about this research paper is finding good strong sources. I also didn't understand how to find the actual articles from the databases, I had a difficult time finding articles on all of the topics I searched for. I am still unsure of my topic, I am not sure that I will enjoy researching my topic so I am considering changing it to something that I am more interested in. This concerns me because I want to be sure and have enough time to find the information.

Cold Weather

I really hate it when it is cold outside. I am usually a pretty active person I love to go out with friends I don't like to sit inside all day. When it is really cold I am really unmotivated. I don't like to go any where so I sit in my room at my house and watch television and movies all day. When it is too cold outside I know I should be studying and getting caught up on my laundry, but I never feel like doing anything. When I am at school and it gets really cold I usually will skip a class or too because I hate being cold. I never work out in the winter because I don't want to walk to the rec center. I lose all interest in activities that I love to do in the summer. This is why I hate the cold weather.

Favorite Song

My favorite song is My Beautiful Rescue by This providence. I still remember the first time I heard this song, I was going to the Hush Sound concert with my two older sisters and This Providence was one of the opening bands. They had such good stage presence and I really liked what their songs were about. It wasn't until after I saw them that I was told they were a christian band which made me love their songs even more. This is the first band I have liked that I have been able to relate to on a personal level. Their songs have more of an effect on what I think than any other band and they make me think about the choices and decisions I have made.

My Favorite Place

My favorite place is my house in Fridley Minnesota. This is my favorite place because it is where I feel the most comfortable. I love going home because all of my family and friends live there and there is always so much to do. I live really close to Minneapolis so there is always something exciting to do even if it is just walking around down town, it is so relaxing. I never really new how much I love home until I left and went to school. Fridley is so convenient and there is always something to do, which is why it is my favorite place.
